- The City of Fredericksburg is a Dark Sky Community with outdoor lighting restrictions. All outdoor lighting is encouraged to be turned off when no one is present to use the light.

  We loved the Cardinal Haus for our girls weekend. They provided so many extra amenities that were greatly appreciated. House is adorable. Beds were comfy even though there wasn’t a lot of room to maneuver around them in the rooms but that wasn’t a big deal. I will say quite a few people remarked about the tv (or lack of viewing options) as an issue but I brought a roku to use so that wasn’t an issue for us.

  We had a marvelous relaxing time. The house is close to downtown, yet quiet and with little traffic. Everything was clean and inviting with a soft relaxing color palette. The kitchen was a perfect size for preparing light meals and the fridge was stocked with eggs, salsa, biscuits and creamer for coffee. All the basics were covered and we had the bonus of a bottle of good Chardonnay. We hope to go back when the weather is cooler so we can use the outside space as well.

  We came to celebrate my sister’s 50th birthday! We enjoyed Fredericksburg. This home was the perfect size for the 3 of us. You can walk to Main St but it is a good distance. Enjoyed shopping and the wineries!

  Property was as described and as cute as the pictures! Comfortable beds, soft bath towels, very comfortable. We were able to walk to Main Street for dinner - it's not a short walk but was doable even for me who doesn't walk much. Quiet neighborhood other than the birds and that was a pleasurable sound.   I recommend staying at the Cardinal Haus in Fredericksburg! My friend & I were in town visiting many wineries! Very convenient to town/main street in a nice quiet neighborhood. House is well maintained with a nicely stocked kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable beds.
  Easy check-in & out.
  
  A treasured find while we were there was the Sandy Road Vineyard. Wine tasting in a tree house overlooking the vineyard! Reservations needed.
  
  Also we highly recommend Kirchman's Private Tours to drive you around. We had our own itinerary & they drove us wherever we wanted to go.
  
  We will definitely be staying at Cardinal Haus on our next visit to Fredericksburg!

  We really enjoyed the Cardinal Haus and thoughtful amenities. From the eggs, bacon, and biscuits provided for breakfast to the items for s’mores for that fire pit. Everything was so well thought out. Lots of board games, activity books for kids, and toiletries that you might have forgotten. It’s located on a quiet street but close to Main Street. Definitely recommend this place!
